Historic Glencairn

Princeton, New Jersey | $1,750,000

Just beyond Princeton, set amid deep, storied grounds, Glencairn is a rare and enduring private residence—one shaped by centuries of craftsmanship and careful stewardship. With origins dating to 1697, the house offers a quiet confidence that comes only from time, authenticity, and thoughtful evolution. The interiors unfold with a sense of permanence and ease. Formal rooms retain their architectural gravitas, while the great room—located in the home’s earliest section—is centered around a monumental walk-in fireplace that has anchored gatherings for generations. Outside, the grounds feel quietly cinematic. Three historic outbuildings enrich the setting: a relocated 19th-century barn offering versatile utility—whether garaging, recreation, or creative use—alongside an original stone smokehouse and the evocative remains of former stone stables that lend texture and depth to the landscape.

The Seaborn M. Shankle House

Commerce, Georgia | $775,000

Listed on the National Historic Registry, the Seaborn M. Shankle house is thought to be the oldest building in Commerce, GA. Located in the Central Business District and zoned Residential/Commercial, this historic home offers a myriad of potential uses. Only an hour from Atlanta via I-85N, convenient to Athens, Lake Hartwell, Lavonia, Braselton and more. The original structure was built by Eli Shankle, one of the first pioneers of the area. He established a trading post and with his wife Rebecca built a two-room cabin c. 1843. In the mid-1870s, their son Seaborn Shankle added the larger Italianate-influenced house around the existing structure. Both the original cabin and the 19th-century addition comprise the existing house you see today.
